Funny that I just happened to run across this manufacturer of horizontal bi-fold doors on the Archinect forum since I was thinking about utilizing such a system for a project I am currently designing. Frank Jonkman & Sons is a manufacturer of greenhouse systems, but as they mention on their website, this horizontal bi-fold door system has amazing potential beyond greenhouse applications. Posted by serig night owl on 2/13/2006 9:45:00 PM Now if only BP still made in large quantities the semi-translucent solar panels that they have dotted on their gas stations in my area. Just if you could get those and replace the upper section of windows on this so it would still produce some diffused light and in the up postion increase the solar gain and electricity!
